Amelia Bauer is a Brooklyn based artist hailing from Santa Fe, New Mexico. Bauer her work runs the gamut from objects made of lace and inlaid wood to carefully-staged photographs in the lunar landscapes of the southwest. (You may recognize a photograph from her woodsy Toile Series as the cover of Department of Eagles latest album.) Bauer's work has been featured in Whitewall, Muse, and Dossier, and she has exhibited at SFMOMA, Phillips de Pury Shop, the National Museum of American Art at the Smithsonian, and Capricious Space in Brooklyn. Her work is in the permanent collection of The Albuquerque Museum and SFMOMA and her show at RBcontemporary in Milan opens September 26th.
