Fidel Ãvora was born in Praia, Cape Verde, but raised in Barreiro, Portugal.
Here he had is first contact with street art and graffiti. Fidel studied Graphic Design but it was in 2011, when he featured in a collective exhibition with his conceptual piece Freedomâs exhumation that Fidel was able to mature his approach as a fine artist.
Keen about ancient artifacts that bring to light important memories that build on todayâs collective identity and divided between the antagonistic languages that are urban culture and academic arts, Fidel has been developing his own language by creating either purposely or accidentally forgotten dialogues.
Fidel Ãvora has exhibited his work in several cities like Paris, Berlin, Brussels and Lyon.
