Jamison Brosseau's recent solo exhibition at Sardine Gallery in Brooklyn epitomized the artist's tenacity for repetition. Other solo shows at Halsey McKay Gallery in East Hampton, Wildlife Gallery in Brooklyn and two person exhibitions with Eddie Martinez at V1 Gallery in Copenhagen and with JR Larson at Grizzly Grizzly in Philadelphia have displayed the range of his grasp on color and shape. His exhibition, "The Natural", at Halsey McKay, pushed his vibrant patterns past the canvas and onto the furniture, creating an immersive installation not unlike Yayoi Kusuma. He has participated in group exhibitions at Dodge Gallery and Participant Inc. in New York, Galleri Loyal in Stockholm, and Lenicus Bauernmarkt in Vienna, among others. Jamison Brosseau was born in Des Moines, Iowa, in 1976. He received his MFA from Rhode Island School of Design in 2003 and currently lives and works in Brooklyn, NY.
