After studying Fine Arts, Paul Ressencourt and Simon Roche, passionate about drawing, have been working in public space since 2010. They cover the walls of our cities with cartoon characters and ephemeral exhibitions under the name of Murmure street.

Sometimes playful, dreamlike or poetic, these black and white drawings are made on a scale of 1 and then drawn in a limited series. The installations interact with the environment thanks to the realism obtained by the black stone technique. The work of a drop shadow unhooks the characters from the wall and gives depth to the installation.
Thus, the drawings are not thought out in terms of a very specific place of intervention, but they are made to be able to live in different places and urban spaces. Drawing is only the first step in the work. The search for new spaces, the play with urban elements and vagaries make the singularity of each work. The choice of space and medium, both in terms of its materials and its colors, is then the narrative complement to the drawing.
The prints are made on particularly fine paper. Weather, climatic hazards, human intervention complete the work. His works are fleeting and that is what makes them sensitive. This is particularly true for certain interventions that only really make sense once they are worn out and damaged by time and bystanders. In the work of the Urban Muses portraits, the faces become unique when they are imbued with the material and the roughness of the reception wall.
