This image was executed as a poster, and then as a print (cat. no. 277), prior to the Democratic National Convention. The poster was later selected as one of the six commemorative inaugural posters used by the Presidential Inaugural Committee. The other five posters were executed by Carroll Cloar, Diane Morley, Jaune Quick to See Smith, the Shooting Back Project, and Tim Rollins and the Kids of Survival. As reported by Eric Brace in The Washington Post, January 18, 1993, C4, the layout and design for all of the posters was by Lisa Markowitz.
Edition unkown. This poster was issued to promote a Lichtenstein exhibition at The National Gallery, Washington, October 1994 - January 1995. Signed on the image lower right. A reproduction of the original silkscreen of 220 numbered and signed.
