Dark skies and ruins are reflected in the still waters glimpsed from afar. Nothing stirs; no birds in the sky, none on the flat lake. A sense of waiting, or a sense of ending? These pictures are vaguely inspired by the work of Caspar David Friedrich, although they have no human figure, no allegorical allusion nor a spiritual dimension. They are simply a expression of melancholy.
