This is a print taken from a drawing I did when I was a little lost. A fingerpost is an old-fashioned wooden signpost, the sort of lichen-speckled and moss-grown way marker that would be a welcome sight to anyone lost, anyone far from home, anyone unsure of which way to turn. All the proceeds from this print will be going to Le Local, a community centre providing education, information and connectivity to migrants, refugees and the homeless in Calais. Several hundred men and women are preparing to sleep rough through the Calais winter, and Le Local is one of the only indoor spaces in the city that is safe and open to them. It is a unique hub for refugees to access vital services, including free legal information, language classes, and referrals for housing and medical care. With no regular sources of funding the centre is in desperate need of support to stay open through the winter, and the proceeds from this print will help to keep the doors open. paper size: 435mm x 570mm print size: 335mm x 490mm edition: 100 £100.00
