Celeste Byers is an avid ocean worshipper, dream recaller, and nature enthusiast from San Diego, California. Her work combines inspiration from the natural world and subconscious mind, taking form in a variety of mediums including sculptural installations, film and animation, paintings, drawings, music, and murals. After graduating with a BFA from Art Center College of Design in 2012, she has been working as an artist and freelance illustrator for a variety of people and companies including the New York Times, PangeaSeed, McSweeney's Publishing, Sea Stoke Magazine, and Lucky Peach Magazine. Her murals can be found in the United States, Sri Lanka, and Mexico.
