British artist Charming Baker is a rapidly rising star in the art world. Promoted by the band Green Day's marketing agents rather than a traditional gallery, Baker has had a string of international sell-out shows and has a bevy of high profile fans including Damien Hirst, British collector Frank Cohen, gallerist Harry Blain and New York dealer Alberto Mugrabi.
Baker's original paintings and limited edition prints explore themes such as life, love, death, terror, joy and despair. With an underlying reference to the classics and a touch of dark humour, Baker' animal themed artworks, featuring rabbits and pandas, have been on sale in major galleries in the UK and US. In recent years, Baker has produced sculptural pieces in a wide and varied choice of materials including a sculpture in collaboration with fashion legend Sir Paul Smith for the 2012 London Olympics.
Baker's most notable works include Half Pint, Bird II and Intelligence Is No Match For Adaptability.
