Eric Inkala was born in 1982 in Minneapolis Minnesota. Now based in Brooklyn New York, his paintings have adopted an aesthetic narrative of his life, using his signature characters as a vehicle to express thoughts and emotions creating an almost subconscious biographical narrative. His current work centers on a study of line and color through reoccurring shapes and characters, which serve as a basis for exploring these objects through pattern, abstraction and re-appropriation.
He has recently shown in numerous group shows around New York City, This Gallery in Los Angeles, CA, One River Gallery in New Jersey, and most recently at Gallery Poulsen in Copenhagen Denmark and commissioned at the Ace Hotel In New York City.
