Frank Auerbach

Frank Helmut Auerbach (born 29 April 1931) is a German-British painter. Born in Germany, he has been a naturalised British subject since 1947. He was a member of the so-called School of London, a group of artist friends with a keen interest in representing the human figure, among them Francis Bacon, Lucian Freud and Leon Kossoff.
