In addition to some forty-two paintings in the narrative installation entitled âMy American Dreamâ in the 2014 Whitney Biennial, Mayerson was included in the upstart, curator-driven SPRING/BREAK Art Show and his exhibition at Derek Eller Gallery just came down earlier this month. Steeped in Americana, Mayersonâs work features historical and fictional figures whoâve shaped our national identity, and whose portraits combine to create an opportunity for reflection on our shared experience. Keith Mayersonâs work is featured in the permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), New York; the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York; the Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA), Los Angeles; the Corcoran Gallery, Washington, D.C.; the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA); the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA); the Cleveland Museum of Art; and the Columbus Museum of Art (CMA), Columbus, Ohio. He has a B.A. from Brown University, and an MFA from the University of California, Irvine, and lives in New York City.
