Ken Sortais, born in 1983, graduated from the Ãcole Supérieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris. He lives and works in Seine Saint Denis [a town in the northern suburbs of Paris]. Following the cinematic works of Dario Argento and John Carpenter, Ken Sortais lets us dive into a mystical and comical universe full of symbols and esotericism closely connected to his research into the matter and its transformation. Working the genre whether having a fictional, referential or historical character, his works have multiple meanings and refuse a Manichaean reading of reality by preferring phantasmagoria and illusion.
